When you first visit Walk-In Chiropractic you will be greeted warmly by our staff. You can expect your first visit to last approximately 45 minutes. Your visit will begin with the following steps:
- Complete the necessary paperwork
- Verify insurance (if applicable)
- Meet with Dr. Scheiner for a consultation
- A thorough examination by Dr. Scheiner
At this point Dr. Scheiner will determine what treatment plan he suggests you follow. Should you choose to accept it, you will receive the first step of your treatment plan on this first visit.
How Frequently Do I Need to Go to the Chiropractor?
A common misconception is that one trip to the chiropractor means needing to go to the chiropractor for the rest of your life. This is simply not true. Walk-In Chiropractic is a relief care practice: you come when you are in pain, and you stop coming when we relieve you of pain.
After the first visit, typically, 8 out of 10 patients will need to come in three times a week for two to three weeks. After that they will be re-evaluated, and if they are totally pain-free their course of treatment is done. If patients are still experiencing some pain, they will generally need to continue treatment for just another one to two weeks.
What Do These Additional Visits Include?
Visits after the first one will consist of any one or more of the following treatments:
- Spinal manipulation
- Electric stimulation
- Mechanical traction
- Decompression therapy
- Exercises and rehabilitation
- Ultrasound therapy
